BFI FILM ACADEMY
Starting on the 28th of October 2024, I participated in a BFI Academy course for students aged between 16 - 19. The course is regarded as 'a well-respected and recognised stepping stone towards further education, training and employment.'

As a student within this course, during the October half term I created a short film in the form of a documentary within a group of five, and also took part in a combination of workshops, developing practical skills, and watching and talking about film to likeminded students.

During this course, I had the opportunity to complete a bronze or silver arts award, and I chose to work towards silver. A silver Arts Award is a level 2 qualification that is split into two units: Unit 1: Arts practice and pathways and Unit 2: Arts leadership. The first unit was complete by the end of the week, and the second unit required me to complete another project throughout the month of November. In the two subsections of the BFI Film Academy page, I have described both units, detailing the work that I completed.

Here are links to both of the short films I produced while working towards this award.
